CANCELED: Coaching Skills for Managers: An Experiential Workshop
Coaching your employees is an essential management tool yet it is one of the least used tools for many leaders. Being an effective coach for your organizational team involves learning the art of asking questions that help your team members discover the answers that can help to solve problems in new, creative ways. Join us for this Leadership Ashland Continuing Education Seminar to learn how you can improve your coaching skills and increase engagement in your team.
In this experiential workshop, participants will learn how to:
1. Apply essential coaching skills, e.g., listening and questioning, practicing collaborative goal setting, exploring options for action, negotiating obstacles, providing progress feedback and evaluation.
2. Identify their coaching style preferences, and differentiate their preferences from those of their coaches. Doing so in order to use coaching approaches most beneficial as opposed to simply coaching as one would like to be coached.
3. Design a plan for incorporating coaching interventions in their workplace employee development programs.
