About Us

Ashland Community Churches Emergency Shelter Services (ACCESS) provides emergency shelter for homeless Ashland County women and families. Guests are housed and offered services to assist them in securing long term sustained housing. The program provides meals, housing, and transportation for its guests as long as they are in the program.

Volunteers and leaders of the ACCESS program focuses on ministering and serving as an example of the passion of Christ followers. Prior to entering ACCESS, guests are assessed and screened by staff. ACCESS focuses on guests’ strengths and helps sustain their dignity as they work to build more stable futures for themselves and their families.

ACCESS provides a way out, not a hand-out. It is a program, not just a bed and a meal. Guests must be willing to work on a self-sufficiency plan. ACCESS focuses on their strengths and helps sustain the dignity of our guests. The church community provides service and caring.

We would love to have you join the ACCESS team to help make a difference in Ashland!
