About Us

The snow-covered countryside slowly yields to warmer days and cold nights from about mid-February to early March. During that time, our family ventures out into the surrounding sugarbush to collect thousands of gallons of sap which we bring back to our sugarhouse. There it is boiled down to make maple syrup. About forty gallons of sap are needed to produce one gallon of maple syrup. After you taste your ''liquid gold'', we think you'll agree it is worth the effort! Ohio has a long tradition of making maple syrup dating back to the Native Americans. Our family is proud to be a part of that rich heritage. We hope you enjoy these products as much as we did making them for you! The Doug Fitch Family
