DESCRIPTION:"Slip\, sliding away" is a catchy tune\, but NOT at work! Slip\, Slide & Ergo  Tackling Your Biggest Safety Issues\n\nSlip and falls and poor ergonomics are the top two causes of injury in the State of Ohio.  I bet\, if you have had and injury in the last year\, it's likely one of these causes is to blame.  During this presentation\, we will discuss the main drivers behind these types of injuries and briefly review strategies that you can use to prevent them from happening.\n\n \n\nCari Gray\, CSP\, Industrial Safety Consultant Specialist\n\nBureau of Workers' Compensation\, Canton Service\n\nOffice 330-904-4475\n\nCari has been a Safety Consultant with the BWC since May 2005.  She works with a diverse range of companies in many different industries\, from public entities to a wide variety of private companies.  She helps customers evaluate their current situations\, set goals and create plans of action to successfully achieve their goals.  She also teaches many safety related classes for the BWC.  Prior to working at the BWC\, Cari was an Environmental\, Safety and Health Manager for General Electric for over four years.  She also worked in the Safety Department of\n\nan automotive based company\, after graduating from The Ohio State University in 1999. Cari is very passionate about the safety and health of Ohio employees.  Her philosophy is based around top management commitment\, employee involvement and personal responsibility.  Her time outside of work is happily spent with her husband and two children.
