About Us
Welcome to Loudonville - Camp & Canoe Capital of Ohio
With six canoe liveries, Loudonville is the official Canoe Capital of Ohio. From April through October visitors can rent canoes, kayak, rafts or tubes. Trips can last from 45 minutes to 2 days. Most liveries are also campgrounds with all the amenities that make roughing more enjoyable.
Other area highlights includes Mohican State Park with miles of hiking, mountain biking, bridle trails, picnicking, camping, a lodge, and incredible fall foliage. Visit Ohio's most unique state park at Malabar Farm - a working farm with a 32-room mansion. Take a free farm tour and explore the Visitors Center.
Enjoy a thrilling ride on the Tree Frog Canopy Tours zip line, the only one in northern Ohio. It is the fastest, highest, longest zip line in Ohio.
Shop our charming Victorian downtown to discover unique specialty shops, many have been in the same family for generators. Lodging includes cabins, two resorts, motel, cottages and bed 'n' breakfast. There are over 4,500 campsites including primitive camping and plenty of RV's spaces, all within minutes of downtown. Restaurants - everything from fast food, family, and upscale.
With over 70 fairs and festivals, Loudonville has great activities for the entire family. Highlights include Mohican Wildlife Weekend, Bike Show, Car Show, Pow Wow, Colonial Soldiers Weekend, Log Cabin Days, Ohio Heritage Days, Loudonville Free Street Fair and Fall Foliage Tour.
