About Us
PURPOSE STATEMENT: The Samaritan Hospital Foundation's purpose is to provide financial support to help fulfill the mission of University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center (UHSMC). Adhering to the ideals that sparked Jessie Clark to create the Hospital, the Samaritan Hospital Foundation gives present-day visionaries the vehicle through which to continue the Legacy of Wellness in our community. Giving Needs... As UHSMC continues to grow and improve to meet the needs of our patients, opportunities for support abound. Samaritan Hospital was built nearly 100 years ago through the gift of one man. Through the years, UHSMC has continued to grow and improve through the gifts of many in our community. A complete renovation and expansion of the Emergency Department was completed in January of 2009. Plans are near completion for the renovation/expansion of the Birthing and Women's Unit. Investing in our hospital TODAY helps to keep our hospital strong for TOMORROW. You are invited to participate in this investment. Your tax-deductible gift, coupled with those of others, will provide funds for updating our healthcare facilities and equipment. Your gift will help ensure that critical healthcare services will be available locally when you or your loved ones need them. Gifts to the Samaritan Hospital Foundation are used exclusively for expansion and healthcare equipment purchases to increase the quality and breadth of services provided by UHSMC. Gift dollars are never used for hospital operation expenses.MISSION STATEMENT: To provide financial support to the hospital and to provide health and wellness initiatives to the Ashland County Community.
