The Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce wants you to understand the new laws and give you resources to help prepare you for the changes to come.
What: Labor Law Changes - Workshop

7:45 to 8:30 am: Program
- Overview of current law
- Changes to the law
- Who does it apply to: employee count, duties test, salary test, highly-compensated, etc.
- Audits and penalties
- Strategies - what do you need to do; being mindful of people, the work, and the costs
- Communications: during initial phase, prior to implementation, as a group, individually, etc.
- Work rules: working during off hours, technology, overtime, comp time, etc.
- Documentation of discussions with employees
- Policies that should be reviewed or written
- Handbook revisions
